  • Play a crucial role in product scoping and roadmap / architecture discussions.
  • Design and implement the hardware, from creation to production and deployment.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, including product specifications, detailed design reports, test -protocols, and technical procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for post release production systems.
  • Coordinate with engineers on the Hardware team.
  • Based on customers’ identified needs, effectively consider feedback and flexibility from the hardware to adapt to market needs.
  • Uses technical acumen to discuss application of Heila products in the context of customer’s use cases.
  • Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel.
  • Foster positive and effective business relationships at all levels.
  • Train and mentor less experienced teammates.


  • 3+ years of experience with project planning related to electronic products.
  • Master’s degree preferred in Engineering, CS or equivalent.
  • Strong ability to work across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience working with both hardware and firmware systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as Altium Designer and SolidWorks.
  • Understanding of FCC, IEC, UL, CSA, and CE testing and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with wireless protocols such as WiFi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and WiFi HaLow.
  • Interest in learning about control and optimization systems used in DER projects.
  • Interest in learning about DER equipment and applications – including solar arrays, batteries, generators, fuel cells, among others.
  • Interest in learning about resilience and economic use cases in DER projects.
